Founded by Amadeo Rodriguez, a U.S.M.C combat veteran affectionately known as AROD, our journey is one of resilience, love, and the uniting power of food. Born in Managua, Nicaragua, and having served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, AROD’s experiences have shaped a life where family, inclusivity, and the meaningful connections that come from sharing a meal are cherished above all.

Son of a Gun BBQ is more than just a business; it's a reflection of AROD's dedication to bringing people together, irrespective of their walk of life. Inspired by his oldest daughter's battle with cancer and his youngest child's autism, AROD's vision for S.O.A.G. BBQ is to create a space where every moment is cherished, and every meal is a celebration of community.
